HOUSTON – For the seventh consecutive year, Houston attorney Robert E. Ammons has earned a spot on the prestigious Texas Super Lawyers listing of the state's top legal minds. He is highlighted among the top personal injury attorneys in Texas.
Mr. Ammons, founder of The Ammons Law Firm, also earned special recognition this year as one of the Top 100 attorneys in Houston. Both the Texas Super Lawyers listing and the Top 100 Houston rankings appear in the Texas Monthly magazine and Texas Super Lawyers magazine, a publication co-produced by the publishers of Texas Monthly and Law & Politics Media Inc.
Earlier this year, more than 70,000 attorneys across Texas were asked to nominate the state's best attorneys based on first-hand knowledge of their peers' legal abilities. The final listings were developed after rigorous screening by a blue-ribbon panel of attorneys, with fewer than 5 percent of all Texas lawyers earning the Super Lawyers designation.
Recognition is nothing new for Mr. Ammons, who has been named to the Super Lawyers list each year it has been published. In the past two years, he has been named to Lawdragon's listings of the 500 Leading Plaintiffs' Lawyers in America and the 500 Leading Lawyers in America, honors that place him among the top .05 percent of attorneys in the country.
Mr. Ammons has the distinction of being Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and Board Certified in Civil Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. His practice focuses on representing plaintiffs in serious injury cases such as burns, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries and wrongful death suits against automobile and tire manufacturers, chemical plants and other corporate entities. Since 1995, he has secured over two hundred separate verdicts or settlements in excess of one million dollars for his clients.
