"A little over two years ago I received a telephone call that all parents dread to hear. The person on the other line simply said, “Your daughter has been in an accident”. Are all examples of sport utility vehicles (SUVs) that have taken over America's highways. Due to the high profit margins derived from SUV sales, many auto manufacturers have aggressively marketed SUVs as more rugged, versatile and safer than ordinary cars. In reality, each year nearly 220,000 rollover crashes occur in the United States, many of which lead to serious injury and even death.
