An 18-wheeler changed lanes on I-45 when unsafe and plowed into an SUV, pushing it into a Dodge Grand Caravan. The Houston woman driving the Grand Caravan and her passengers were seriously injured in the crash.
Rob Ammons filed suit against the Minnesota trucking company, claiming its driver was inattentive and failed to control his speed as he negligently changed lanes. The driver was on the job at the time of the collision, making the trucking company legally responsible for his negligence.
"Drivers of tractor-trailers are causing way too many major crashes on Texas roads," says Ammons. "Something needs to be done to hold these companies responsible for the injuries and deaths they are causing."
Chrysler was also sued. It is alleged in the lawsuit that the Grand Caravan's driver's seat collapsed in the crash, causing additional injury to the Houston woman.
