Rollover Attorney Rob Ammons Files Suit Against Ford for Family of Texas Man Killed in Uncrashworthy F250

Attorney Rob Ammons claims in a recently filed lawsuit that the rollover protection system (ROPS) of a 2008 Ford F250 pickup is defective and failed to provide necessary occupant protection to a 36-year-old Texas man in a rollover crash.

The man was the belted operator of the F250 that rolled over onto its top. First responders found the man belted inside the upside-down pickup with his head compressed forward and down. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ammons alleged in the lawsuit he filed on behalf of the wife, two minor children, and parents of the fatally injured man that defects in the F250’s ROPS were to blame for the death. The pickup’s weak roof collapsed in the rollover, severely compromising the man’s survival space.
