Attorney Rob Ammons Files Lawsuit Against Courier Service for Injuries to Driver of Disabled Vehicle

The Ammons Law Firm has filed a lawsuit on behalf of a Houston woman injured by an 18-wheeler on the West Sam Houston Parkway. After suffering a flat tire, the woman pulled her car over and parked. An 18-wheeler being operated by a courier service plowed into the disabled car’s left rear quarter panel.

In the lawsuit, Rob Ammons claims the courier company’s driver did not keep a proper lookout, failed to control his speed, and failed to timely apply his brakes and/or take other evasive action to avoid the collision. The driver was on the job at the time of the crash, making the courier company legally responsible for his negligence. Ammons also claims that the courier company failed to properly train, instruct, supervise and monitor its driver with respect to safe driving practices and that the truck’s owners and operators were negligent in entrusting the rig to an unsafe driver.
