October 21, 2019, Houston, TX: The Ammons Law Firm, which filed the first suit against Walmart based on the August 3, 2019, shooting in El Paso, now represents more families than any other law firm. The lawsuit against Walmart calls for answers as to why Walmart did not have security measures in place to prevent a mass shooting like the one on August 3 that resulted in the deaths of 22 people.

The suit claims Walmart had a responsibility to protect its customers, and Walmart failed to live up to its legal duty because it did not have the necessary security measures in place to protect its customers.

The suit also claims that despite years of rampant crime at its stores, Walmart did not take necessary and reasonable steps to protect its customers because they cared more about profits than safety. Even after the mass shooting, Walmart still plans to reopen its doors this November.
