Thoughts on the fatal truck accident in Lower Providence Twp.

As we wait for more information, we want to send our deepest condolences to the loved ones of the individual who passed away in this crash. Unfortunately, our firm conducts investigations into collisions between passenger vehicles and commercial trucks every day, and we know there are countless reasons for these crashes. That is why we believe it is essential always to have independent investigations conducted to ensure nothing is missed. After all responsible parties have been identified, those impacted by this accident will only get the answers they need.

The most likely cause of this crash is driver error. If either driver in this accident failed to adhere to standard rules of the road, those injured by such actions should recover for the harm they sustained in this accident. For the deceased’s family, compensation should be provided for the pain and suffering they must endure for the unexpected loss of a loved one.

Alternatively, this accident could have been caused by actions outside either of the drivers’ control. We know that the commercial truck in this accident rolled over, suggesting the driver may have lost control of the vehicle. This may have been caused by a sudden tire failure. Commercial trucks require specific types of tires for each section of the vehicle, and if the front steer axle tires go bad or don’t function properly, the driver will lose control of the vehicle. Whether the vehicle’s owner neglected the maintenance of these tires or the manufacturer failed to conduct the requisite safety checks before distributing them, our investigative team will identify all potential causes and pursue legal recourse immediately.

Alternatively, improperly loaded cargo is another regularly identified cause in crashes where we see the truck flip over. Cargo on these trucks is often bulky and heavy and will inevitably shift during transportation if it is not secured correctly. If we find that the driver’s employer failed to ensure the cargo was loaded properly before sending the truck onto the road, the victim’s family may be able to recover against the employer or the shipping company for such negligence.

Those impacted here will need to know exactly what caused this accident to ensure the appropriate parties are held responsible. Our firm stands ready to provide the services necessary to get much-needed answers and hold any parties responsible for this crash accountable. Until then, we offer our condolences to the affected families.
