Thoughts on rollover accidents and potential relief available to the injured
Rollover crashes frequently result in fatalities, and we are grateful none were reported in this case. We pray those injured here can make a full recovery and be released from the hospital in a timely manner. Regardless of the severity of their injuries, the victims deserve to know the cause of the crash and whether they may be able to seek legal recourse in light of their injuries. As we wait for the results of the official investigation, our firm stands ready to conduct our own independent investigation to determine whether a manufacturer is responsible for the injuries sustained in this crash.
A common misconception in rollover crashes is that the driver is entirely responsible. This conclusion is not necessarily true, and a thorough investigation must be conducted before determining who is responsible for the injuries sustained in this accident.
One increasingly common cause of accidents our firm sees is a failure of crash avoidance technology. This technology is standard on newer cars and is designed to help drivers keep the vehicle in the lanes, identify obstacles in the road or slowing traffic ahead, and even automatically engage the braking system. When this technology fails, the consequences can be deadly. Our investigation will examine the history of this technology and determine if a defect played a role in this crash. Any finding of negligence on the part of the manufacturer or a repair shop may allow the victims to seek legal recourse against the responsible party(s).
Alternatively, we often find a problem with the tires and/or braking system on the vehicle as a cause of rollover crashes. As with the crash avoidance technology, our investigation will identify whether there was any sort of mechanical issue that may have caused this crash, identify any recent repairs, bad parts, or inherent design defects, and hold any responsible parties accountable.
We are so grateful there were no fatalities because of this accident, but the victims need answers and a chance to seek relief that will allow them to cover the cost of care resulting from this accident. Our firm is experienced at conducting exhaustive investigations quickly and getting our clients the results they need to deal with the challenges ahead.
