Commentary on the Fatal Truck Accident in Madison County, Ohio
The deceased’s family is likely anxiously awaiting further information concerning this accident. This will be a challenging time that will require great patience. From the reports provided, this was a highly preventable accident, compounding the grief of many.
As a personal injury lawyer, I have handled many cases similar to this one. While information is sparse, we know an independent investigation will need to be conducted to determine the commercial driver’s actions leading to the accident. Was the driver distracted, impaired, or fatigued? If so, was the employer pushing the driver beyond reasonable or legal limits?
We will have to wait for further details before forming any conclusions. Until that time, I offer my sincerest condolences to the deceased’s family.
