DENNIS H. CROW KILLED IN F-350 ROLLOVER ACCIDENT

STUTSMAN COUNTY, N.D. — Dennis H. Crow, a 69-year-old resident of Upton, Wyoming, tragically died Jan. 8 in a rollover accident on Interstate 94 in Jamestown.

According to local authorities, Crow lost control of a 2001 Ford F-350 while entering Exit 258 on eastbound I-94, which caused the vehicle to roll across the westbound lanes. The crash occurred at about 2:15 p.m. when road conditions were icy.

Crow was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. A 26-year-old passenger in his vehicle was transported to the Jamestown hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening. The passenger has not been identified by authorities, though he is also from Upton, Wyoming.

The crash investigation is ongoing, and no additional details have been released.

Commentary on Fatal Ford F-350 Rollover Accident that Claimed Life of Mr. Dennis Crow

Ford rollover accident North DakotaMy firm has performed extensive research on Ford rollover accidents over the past two decades. Ford has had several manufacturing design flaws in SUVs and pickup trucks, leaving countless victims dead or seriously injured. These defects range from roof strength to vehicle stability controls. I am deeply saddened to learn of another death.

Rollover accidents have plagued occupants of all vehicles since the advent of cars. Given the high risk of death associated with such crashes, auto manufacturers have invested significant resources to reduce the likelihood of a rollover accident and reduce the risk of injury in the event a rollover does occur. Unfortunately, these efforts are often insufficient to curb the devastating losses many have experienced.

There are four primary points of interest manufacturers focus on when reducing the risk of death in rollover crashes. These include the vehicle’s stability, roof strength, safety canopy, and restraint systems. Manufacturing deficiency in any one of these areas dramatically increases the likelihood of injury in the event of an accident. Whether this vehicle was adequately designed will need to be determined by trained professionals specializing in this area of the law.

I offer my condolences to the family of the deceased and hope the injured can make a full recovery. May you find the strength to endure the challenging road ahead
