An active investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. No further details are currently available.
Further investigation into this truck crash may determine whether one or multiple parties are liable to the deceased’s family
While we do not know all of the facts, it appears this crash may have been prevented in many ways. For instance, the semi-truck parked on the side of the road may have experienced mechanical difficulties due to a manufacturing defect, or the driver may have been unaware that federal regulations prohibit large trucks from parking on the shoulder of busy roadways. If the driver had not parked the truck on the side of the road, this accident would not have happened.
Since there are multiple plausible causes for this crash, authorities may not be able to offer the victim’s family any definitive explanation as to what happened in the moments leading up to the accident. However, families of those who perish in auto accidents deserve answers about their loved ones’ death. Often, in these situations, families may benefit from consulting with an attorney to initiate an independent investigation into the crash.
At The Ammons Law Firm, we have skilled lawyers who can uncover the training records and protocol employed by large trucking companies and any manufacturing defects that may contribute to the cause or severity of a crash.
