Ford F-250 Rollover Accident Leaves One Seriously Injured in Kansas

BARTON COUNTY, Kansas – Authorities reported that one person was seriously injured in a rollover accident on NE 20 Ave in Barton County.

According to reports, a 48-year-old woman from Great Bend was traveling northbound when her 2004 Ford F-250 Super Duty rolled over.

The cause of the rollover was not immediately apparent, with authorities stating the woman left the roadway and struck a ditch before rolling over and hitting a barbed wire fence.

The unidentified woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

No further information was immediately available.

Ford might be responsible for the injuries suffered by this woman if the F-250’s roof was defective.

Early 2000 Ford Super Duty pickup trucks have been involved in countless rollover crashes over the past two decades that have resulted in serious, preventable injuries. Ford designed and manufactured these pickup trucks with notoriously weak roofs. As a result, when unsuspecting motorists are involved in a rollover accident involving a Ford pickup truck, the injuries suffered are far greater than those that would likely be suffered in the same crash in a different model truck.

This is a big issue, and victims injured in rollover accidents involving Ford pickups need to have the accident investigated to determine if their injuries were caused by a defect in the truck’s roof. We handle these cases across the country. They are difficult cases, and Ford does not willingly accept fault for the poorly designed roof, despite a growing number of settlements and verdicts.

Victims of serious injury need a source of recovery to cover the medical expenses and compensate for the life of pain and suffering caused by Ford’s negligence. It is unjust for Ford to escape liability when the truck was designed and manufactured without consumer safety in mind. The injuries suffered by this woman may have been preventable had Ford exercised greater caution and spent a few more dollars to produce a vehicle that could withstand the force of a rollover accident. Ford had a duty to its customers, and it failed them.

Having represented many consumers involved in rollover accidents in Ford vehicles, I know firsthand the devastating impact these accidents have on people’s lives. From permanent paralysis to loss of all brain function, victims of life-changing injuries need help, and Ford cannot escape liability simply because it is a difficult case.

We can help people with nowhere to turn. We can help people injured in Ford rollover accidents.
