Cindy Helms and Melvina Colin Die, Others Injured in Seven-Vehicle Accident Involving Semi-truck on Interstate 70 in Columbia, Missouri

Columbia, Missouri – Two women lost their lives in a crash involving a semi-truck and seven vehicles. The incident happened Monday afternoon on Interstate 70.

According to reports, a westbound semi-truck collided with another westbound vehicle. The semi-truck then swerved and crossed the median, entering the eastbound lanes.

The semi-truck struck a U-Haul truck head-on, which had two women inside. One woman died at the scene, while the other succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital.

Seven vehicles were involved in the crash. The exact number of injured individuals and the severity of their injuries are currently unknown.
