One Motorcyclist Dead, Another Critically Injured in a Box Truck Accident on Philips Highway in Jacksonville, Florida

Jacksonville, Fla. – An accident between a box truck and two motorcycles left one person dead and another critically injured. The incident happened Thursday evening on Philips Highway.

According to reports, the motorcyclists were traveling north in the right lane when a box truck turning from the southbound lanes crossed in front of the oncoming motorcycles. The driver reportedly did not see the motorcycles approaching.

Both motorcycles collided with the right side of the truck. The 29-year-old rider was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 23-year-old was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
