Vincent Dow, Bonnie Dow, and Two Others Die, and Sharon Burt, Aldo Hidalgo, and One Other Sustain Injuries in an Accident with a Semi-truck that Crashed with a Total of Four Vehicles on Highway 2 Near Floodwood, Minnesota


Floodwood, Minn. — The Minnesota State Patrol has identified the individuals who lost their lives in a five-vehicle crash on Highway 2 near Floodwood on Wednesday afternoon.

Vincent Dow, 65, and Bonnie Dow, 66, along with two others were killed in the collision. The four victims were traveling in a Honda Pilot.

The crash involved five vehicles that were stopped in traffic due to construction. According to the State Patrol, the incident was triggered when an International semi-truck traveling at highway speeds struck the stopped vehicles.

The driver of the International semi, a 63-year-old, and the driver of the Mack CX semi-truck,  45-year-old Aldo Hidalgo, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Additionally, a passenger in a Ford Escape, Sharon Burt, was injured and treated at Cloquet Memorial Hospital.

Three other individuals in vehicles stopped at the construction site were unharmed.
