San Antonio Residents Akbarali and Naushadali Maredia Killed in I-10 Semi-truck Crash

Caldwell County, Texas — An accident on Interstate 10 resulted in the deaths of two San Antonio residents. The collision happened when a commercial vehicle crossed the median and collided with an eastbound pickup truck and an SUV. The crash occurred shortly after noon near the Luling Buc-ee’s superstore.

According to DPS reports, the commercial truck experienced a tire pressure failure and lost control. The vehicle swerved into the eastbound lanes and collided with the oncoming SUV and pickup truck.

The SUV’s driver and passenger, identified as Akbarali Maredia and Naushadali Maredia of San Antonio, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The tire must be inspected so the surviving families know what happened

When a commercial truck’s tire fails and causes a deadly crash, many assume it was just an unfortunate accident. The truth is often more complicated. Tire failures frequently stem from manufacturing defects that put everyone on the road at risk.

We’ve handled many similar cases where defective tires led to devastating crashes. In one instance in Arizona, multiple families suffered serious injuries when a semi-truck’s tire failed, causing it to veer into oncoming traffic. Our inspection revealed clear signs of defects that caused the tire’s failure. In another case in South Carolina, a trucker lost his life when his front tire failed due to poor bonding during manufacturing – a defect that should have been caught before the tire left the factory.

For the families of Akbarali and Naushadali Maredia, understanding what caused this tragic crash matters. A thorough inspection of the failed tire could reveal manufacturing flaws that made it unsafe from the start. Was there a problem with the tire’s structure? Were substandard materials used? These questions need answers.

Tire manufacturers don’t readily admit when their products are flawed. But with the right expertise and investigation, it’s possible to uncover defects and hold them accountable. This not only provides answers for grieving families but also pushes manufacturers to maintain higher safety standards.

We hope the Maredia families find the support they need during this difficult time and get clear answers about what caused their devastating loss.
