Bryan Mena Killed in an Industrial Accident in Lower Bucks County, Pennsylvania

Lower Bucks County, PA – Authorities have identified the worker who died in an industrial accident in Falls Township Monday morning.

Bryan Mena, 26, of Bristol Borough, was fatally injured while working at Kinder Morgan on South Port Road in Morrisville.

Preliminary findings indicate that Mena, a Kinder Morgan employee, was struck by a digging bucket used to excavate sugar from the hull of a docked ship.

No additional details have been released.

The site needs to be investigated for safety procedures in place

When a fatal work accident happens, families are left asking, “How could this happen?” Many feel they don’t have a clear picture of what went wrong. More often than not, accidents like this are the result of safety failures in the workplace.

Employers are responsible for maintaining an organized worksite with strong safety measures. This involves knowing where workers are in relation to operating equipment, setting up clear communication systems, and making sure everyone is thoroughly trained on safety protocols. Working near heavy machinery like excavators requires careful coordination and the use of trained spotters to prevent tragic accidents. When these rules are ignored, the risk of serious injuries or fatalities increases dramatically.

So, what safety measures were in place at this site? Who controlled the machinery? Why did they fail to see Mr. Mena nearby?

While employers may be reluctant to disclose the details of workplace accidents fully, families have a right to know exactly what happened to their loved ones. Legal tools like depositions and professional investigations can uncover the truth behind these tragedies.

Mr. Mena’s family should know if this accident could have been avoided with better planning and safety measures.
