Fatal Rollover Accident Reported on State Route 110 Near South Pasadena, California

South Pasadena, CA – One person lost their life in a rollover crash Saturday morning near the York Boulevard exit on southbound State Route 110.

CHP officers responded to the scene, where they discovered an overturned SUV blocking the slow lane of the highway. The driver, who was trapped inside the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

Rollover accidents need further investigation to determine if defects caused the fatal injuries

Drivers aren’t always the only ones at fault in single-vehicle rollover accidents. Many people don’t realize that the vehicle they’re driving may not be built to withstand the force of a rollover crash. If a vehicle’s structure is too weak to handle the impact, the fault often lies with the manufacturer for selling a defective product.

Some trucks and SUVs leave the factory with dangerous flaws, making them ticking time bombs. When these vehicles fail during a crash, roofs can collapse, airbags may not deploy, and seatbelts might not work as they should, leaving occupants unprotected in a life-threatening situation.

Vehicle manufacturers have a legal duty to ensure their products are safe for public use. Unfortunately, some prioritize profit over safety, allowing defective trucks and SUVs to be sold. These faulty vehicles can cause serious accidents, causing significant injuries or even death.

Manufacturers often try to shift the blame onto the driver to avoid responsibility. However, legal tools like depositions and in-depth vehicle inspections can uncover the truth during litigation.

Determining if a vehicle is defective can help the deceased’s surviving family understand why they lost their loved one and help remove faulty products from our roadways.

We hope the surviving family receives the answers they deserve.
