Two Killed in Single-Engine Plane Crash in Texas


Smith County, TX — A single-engine plane crash in northern Smith County claimed the lives of two men Wednesday evening.

The Smith County Sheriff’s Office reported that the Cozy aircraft went down on private property near Burleson Lake, close to Mineola.

Officials confirmed that both victims were from the Powderly area, but their identities and ages have not yet been disclosed.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has been notified and is sending an investigator to examine the site.
