Four People Injured in a Semi-truck Accident on Highway 321 in Cleveland, Texas

Cleveland, Texas –  A collision involving multiple vehicles on Highway 321 east of Cleveland has left two people critically injured.

Authorities report that a propane tanker operated by Pinnacle failed to slow down and attempted to brake just 100 feet from traffic stopped on the roadway. The tanker collided with two pickup trucks, crushing them between the propane truck and another 18-wheeler ahead.

Emergency responders airlifted two critically injured individuals from a silver Dodge pickup to a nearby hospital via HCA Air Life. Two additional passengers from the same vehicle were transported on the ground in stable condition.

More needs to be done to prevent accidents like this from happening. The injured deserve justice

The news release states the second semi-truck failed to stop in time to avoid colliding with the pickup truck in front of them. Why? Was the truck driver distracted? Speeding? To avoid rear-end collisions, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) recommends that trucks keep a minimum of at least 4 seconds between them and the vehicle in front. This rule is specifically designed to prevent this crash from happening and cannot be ignored by truckers.

However, initial police reports may not explain all the details that led to this preventable incident. This is where the injured and their families may want to seek additional help to determine all factors contributing to the crash and hold all responsible parties accountable for the driver’s actions on the roadway.

Truck drivers must adjust their driving according to traffic conditions. Failure to do so endangers others on the road, as seen in this catastrophic crash. When someone is injured through no fault of their own, they deserve answers, justice, and compensation.

May all those injured here, through no fault of their own,  receive the answers, justice, and compensation they deserve for what has transpired.
