Lisandra Guardia Killed and Two Injured in a Multi-Vehicle Semi-truck Crash on U.S. 6 Near Ely, Nevada

Ely, Nev. –  A multi-vehicle crash on U.S. 6 west of Ely claimed the life of a truck passenger.

The collision involved a yellow International box truck, a white Freightliner garbage truck, and a gray Ford F-150 pickup.

According to reports, the International truck was traveling too fast for the road conditions when its driver lost control on snowy roads. The truck crossed the centerline and collided head-on with the Freightliner traveling west.

To avoid the crash, the Ford pickup swerved but struck the rear of the Freightliner and veered off the roadway.

The passenger in the International truck, identified as 38-year-old Lisandra Guardia, died at the scene. The driver and passenger of the Freightliner were transported for treatment of their injuries.
