Pedestrian Killed in an Accident with a Flatbed Truck on Long Island Expressway in Queens, New York

Fresh Meadows, Queens — A person working on a disabled vehicle was fatally struck by a flatbed truck on the westbound side of the Long Island Expressway on Wednesday morning.

Authorities say the collision occurred in the Fresh Meadows area. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
