Bicyclist Ricky Delucia Fatally Struck in a Semi-Truck Accident in a Las Vegas, Nevada Intersection  

Las Vegas, Nev. –  A bicyclist was killed in a collision involving a semi-truck Monday morning at the intersection of Blue Diamond Road and Valley View Boulevard in the southern part of the city.

Las Vegas Metro Police reported that the accident occurred when a 55-year-old man on a Blue Huffy Mountain Bike entered a marked crosswalk heading northbound. At the same time, a 2008 Peterbilt 386 tractor-trailer, traveling southbound, attempted a right turn on a solid red light. During the turn, the semi-truck struck the bicyclist.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene, but despite their efforts, the bicyclist was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as 55-year-old Ricky Delucia of Reno.

The surviving family deserves answers and justice for their loved one’s death
