Elvin Heggen and Emelita Hedden Killed and Candice Davis, Mckenna Davis, and Mark Hedden Seriously Injured in an Accident with a Semi-truck on Interstate 40 in Oldham County, Texas


Oldham County, TX – Two people were killed, and three people suffered serious injuries when a semi-truck and a minivan collided. The incident happened Sunday afternoon on Interstate 40.

According to reports, a semi-truck towing a trailer crossed the center median and entered oncoming traffic. A 2022 Chrysler Pacifica attempted to avoid the collision but struck the trailer’s rear axle.

Passengers Elvin Heggen and Emelita Hedden were pronounced dead at the scene. Candice Davis, Mckenna Davis, and Mark Hedden were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

No additional details have been provided.

The trucker and company responsible for this crash must be held accountable

Those injured and the surviving families will need significant healing, emotionally and physically. They will face serious financial burdens such as mounting medical expenses, loss of wages, and the financial strain that comes with losing a loved one unexpectedly. The driver of the semi and the employing company responsible for this suffering and loss must be held accountable.
