Five People Injured in a Rollover Accident on Interstate 15 in Victorville, California

Victorville, CA. — A rollover crash left five people injured on Sunday morning. The incident happened on Interstate 15.

According to reports, a pickup truck rolled multiple times before coming to rest on its roof. Five occupants were inside the vehicle.

One individual was airlifted to the hospital in serious condition. The other four occupants were transported by ground ambulance to local hospitals, and their injuries are currently unknown.

No further information is currently available.

Were the injuries suffered due to defects in the vehicle?

People often assume the driver is at fault for the injuries suffered in a rollover accident, rarely considering the manufacturer’s responsibility. But shouldn’t safety start with the manufacturer? Shouldn’t vehicles be designed to protect us from crashes that are known to occur? The law says so, and when a vehicle doesn’t meet safety standards, the manufacturer that fails to provide a safe vehicle is responsible for the resulting harm.

It is concerning when multiple people are injured. And unfortunately, many pickup truck models have a history of failing to protect their occupants. Some common safety features that fail to function in these trucks include roofs that crush during impact, seatbelts that fail to restrain, and airbags that do not deploy. These defects are known to cause serious injuries and even death. When manufacturers design vehicles that cause occupants further injury, they should be held accountable.

Trained professionals will need to conduct a detailed investigation to determine if the truck has any defects. If it shows that any safety features in the vehicle failed, those impacted may have the right to hold the manufacturer liable for their injuries. These cases can be complicated because manufacturers often attempt to place the blame on the driver. However, they should not escape accountability if they did not provide sufficient protection in this accident.
