Jannette Jones Seriously Injured in Accident Between Pickup and Semi-truck Near Raymore and Peculiar in Cass County, Missouri


Cass County, Mo. – A woman sustained serious injuries after the pickup truck she was a passenger in and a semi-truck crashed. The incident happened Friday afternoon between Raymore and Peculiar.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol,  first responders discovered that a 2004 International semi-truck had attempted to cross the highway in front of a moving 2002 Chevrolet Silverado. The front of the Chevrolet pickup collided with the rear left side of the semi-truck’s towed unit.

Jannette Jones, 65, a passenger in the Chevrolet, was transported to Research Medical Center with serious injuries.

Both drivers were unharmed in the incident.

The trucker needs to be held accountable for the harm suffered in this crash

Commercial truck drivers must follow fundamental traffic safety rules, as the consequences of failing to do so can be catastrophic. In this particular incident, a truck attempted a dangerous maneuver, leading to significant injuries for one individual. Such behavior is unacceptable, and the injured deserves justice.
