Rogelio Morales Killed in a Rollover Accident on FM 2562 in Navasota, Texas

Navasota, TX – A man died in a single-vehicle rollover accident on Tuesday afternoon. The incident happened on FM 2562.

According to reports, 61-year-old Rogelio Morales was traveling southbound in a Ford F-350 when it failed to stay in its lane and veered onto the grassy shoulder, rolling over.

Morales was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further details have been released.

The accident needs to be investigated to determine if the truck was defective

Rollovers might seem rare, but they happen more often than people think. Injuries in these single-vehicle accidents are usually blamed on the driver, but this isn’t always right. Some vehicles, especially pickup trucks, are not built to handle the impact of a rollover, resulting in more harm to occupants. In such cases, it’s not the driver’s fault but the responsibility of the vehicle manufacturer.

Unfortunately, many pickup truck models have a track record of not adequately protecting their occupants. Common safety issues include roofs that collapse during a crash, seatbelts that don’t restrain properly, and airbags that fail to deploy. These defects can lead to serious injuries or even death. When manufacturers design vehicles that increase the risk of injury to occupants, they must be held responsible.

If skilled professionals investigate the vehicle and find that any safety feature did not work properly, the deceased’s surviving family may have the right to hold Ford accountable for their losses. These cases are challenging because Ford will try to blame the driver. However, if the F-350 failed to provide adequate protection, Ford should not be allowed to escape responsibility.

While no amount of money can bring a loved one back, it is the law’s way to recognize that wrongdoing or negligence took place and acknowledge the pain and suffering of the surviving family.
