Woman Dies and Another Seriously Injured in Accident with Semi-Trucks on Interstate 96 in Clinton County, Michigan


Clinton County, Mich. – A woman was killed after her car was crushed between two semi-trucks. The incident happened on Interstate 96 on Wednesday afternoon.

According to reports, the woman was stopped in construction traffic in her 2017 Chevrolet Cruze when a semi-truck rear-ended her vehicle. Preliminary investigations indicate it appears the truck driver was not paying attention.

The impact triggered a chain reaction, pushing the Cruze into a 2020 Land Rover, which was forced into another semi-truck. The Land Rover flipped into a ditch, and the Cruze was crushed between the two semi-trucks.

The woman driving the Cruze was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Land Rover, a 62-year-old woman, sustained serious injuries.
