Enrique Diaz and Fermin Ramirez Hurt in a Tire Blowout Accident on Interstate 94 near Brandon, Minnesota

Brandon, Minn. – Two people were injured when the vehicle they were traveling in experienced a tire blowout. The incident happened Tuesday night on Interstate 94.

According to reports, 33-year-old Enrique Diaz was driving a Jeep Compass when its tire suffered a blowout. He lost control of the and collided with cable median barriers.

Emergency personnel transported Diaz and his passenger, 22-year-old Fermin Ramirez, to the hospital. They both sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Accidents caused by tire blowouts need to be investigated. If the tire is defective, the manufacturer may be responsible

When we think of tire blowouts, we are quick to assume they are caused by poor maintenance or a case of bad luck or chance. But this is not always the case. Sometimes, tires fail because they were defective from the beginning. Tire blowouts caused by faulty tires are not just accidents; they result from manufacturers who produce and choose to sell tires that shouldn’t be on the road.

Tire manufacturers are responsible for ensuring their products are safe for use on our roads. Unfortunately, this is not always practiced. Some tire manufacturers have a troubled history of choosing profits over safety and allowing inferior, faulty tires to make it to consumers and our roadways. This has led to vehicles suffering premature blowouts without warning, causing motorists serious injury and even death.

Manufacturers have to be held accountable when a defective tire causes someone serious harm.

Tire blowout cases are complex and challenging. They require a team of trained professionals and lawyers with extensive experience examining the tire in question to determine whether it is defective. Motorists injured by failure deserve to know whether the accident they were in could have been avoided.  May those injured here find the answers they need.
