Gregory Myers Seriously Injured in Tire Blowout Accident on Route 50 West of Warrensburg, Missouri

Warrensburg, MO – A truck driver was seriously injured when his semi-cab tire blew out. The incident happened Wednesday morning, about half a mile east of Route 58.

According to reports, 36-year-old Gregory Myers was driving east on Route 50 when his tire failed, causing him to lose control and run off the roadway about half a mile east of Route 58. Myers’ truck hit a concrete-lined ditch and began to overturn.

Emergency personnel airlifted Myers to an area hospital for treatment of his serious injuries.

No additional details have been released.

Victims of defective tires deserve justice and compensation for injuries suffered because of a bad tire

Another commercial truck tire failure. These incidents keep happening over and over again. Many of these tire failure accidents are not chance occurrences but the result of defective tires that should never have made it on our roadways. Truckers deserve compensation for the injuries they suffer because manufacturers cut corners. Faulty tires are no one but the manufacturer’s fault, who allow their defective products to make it on our roadways, placing motorists in harm’s way.

Sadly, we are seeing large truck tire accidents across the nation. We are currently handling cases similar to this one in Arizona, California, South Carolina, Illinois, Texas, New Mexico, and Utah. We recently worked on a case involving a long-haul trucker in Arizona who experienced a similar incident. As he neared an overpass, one of his tires suddenly failed, causing him to lose control and crash onto the road below. The resulting explosion killed an innocent man. We helped the surviving family receive answers as to the cause of the tire failure and held the tire manufacturer accountable for the loss of life due to their defective product.

Trained professionals will need to examine the tire in question to determine the cause of the failure. If defects are the culprit, the injured individual deserves justice and compensation for his injuries.
