Randal Wilson Killed in a Fiery Accident Between Two Semi-Trucks on U.S. Highway 441 in Wilkinson County, Georgia

Wilkinson County, Ga. — A crash between two semi-trucks resulted in the death of one driver on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred at the intersection of SR-112 and U.S. Highway 441.

According to reports, a blue 2022 Freightliner was heading west on SR-112 when it failed to stop at the intersection and t-boned a second semi-truck, causing both vehicles to erupt in flames.

The truck driver that was t-boned managed to step out of his truck while engulfed with flames but succumbed to his injuries.

There have been 26 crashes at that intersection in the past nine years.

Thoughts on fatal semi-truck collisions

The surviving family deserves answers and justice. An innocent man was killed. The family is left behind, picking up the pieces while dealing with the financial and emotional burdens that come with losing a loved one unexpectedly. This is not fair. What is being done to ensure they receive the answers and justice they deserve?

We have found that wrongdoers try to escape liability whenever possible. Either by blaming the person killed, something out of their control, or just simply disputing the facts entirely. Such tactics are inexcusable.

There are also issues regarding the truck. Why did it catch fire? Trucks must be manufactured to prevent explosions. The facts suggest Mr. Wilson would have survived had the truck not exploded. The manufacturer of the truck may be partially at fault if the truck proves defective. This needs to be further investigated to ensure the family receives the answers and justice they deserve.

I extend my condolences to the surviving family and hope they receive the strength and help they need to make it through this unbearable time of grief and pain.
