Robert Hesser Injured in a Rollover Accident on Interstate 35 near Clarks Grove, Minnesota

Clarks Grove, MN – A person identified as Robert Hesser sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a rollover accident. The incident happened Wednesday morning on Interstate 35 near Clarks Grove.

According to reports, Hesser was driving a 2017 Dodge Ram and was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.

No further details have been provided.

Thoughts on rollover crashes

Rollovers that result in injury are concerning because they raise questions about the strength of the vehicle involved in the crash.

If you think about it, our vehicles should be produced so that motorists involved in a rollover crash (assuming they are wearing their seatbelts) suffer little to no injury at all. These are known crashes, and the technology is there to keep us safe. Why should someone driving a Dodge suffer injuries when someone driving a Jeep walks away uninjured?

From the reports, it seems that the driver was provided with at least some protection. The question now becomes whether he was provided the protection one would expect in such an accident, and if not, what will the manufacturer do to make things right?

Often, after a rollover crash, manufacturers do not want to take responsibility for the injuries their vehicles cause. When this happens, they must be held accountable in a court of law.
