Man Flown to Hospital After Serious Rollover Crash in Portage Township

Portage Township, Minn. – A 55-year-old man sustained serious injuries following a rollover accident on Crane Lake Road in Portage Township. The incident happened on Sunday morning.

Emergency crews extricated the driver, a resident of Crane Lake, and he was airlifted to a hospital. His injuries are considered serious but not life-threatening.

The man’s identity has not been disclosed.

When someone is injured in a rollover accident, the vehicle needs to be inspected to find out if it was designed to protect

When a rollover crash happens, it’s understandable to wonder what caused the vehicle to flip. Equally important, though, is whether the vehicle’s safety features protected the occupants as intended. Manufacturers know that rollover accidents are unavoidable and have a duty to make cars that can safely protect their customers.

Unfortunately, some vehicles have defects that make rollovers far more dangerous than they should be. Common problems include roofs that collapse under pressure, seatbelts that fail to restrain occupants, and airbags that don’t deploy at critical moments. These aren’t driver mistakes—they are manufacturing flaws that can turn an otherwise survivable accident into a fatal one.

If a defect caused or worsened the injuries here, the vehicle manufacturer should be held responsible for the harm caused by the defective product. It is not fair for someone to suffer life-altering injuries because a company did not do its job right.
