Gurnee, IL —  A man died after he was run over by a skid steer loader at an Illinois Tollway maintenance facility. The incident happened Friday morning in Gurnee.

According to Illinois State Police, the male contractor sustained fatal injuries after being run over by the skid steer. Preliminary investigations revealed that two contracted workers, not employed by the Illinois Tollway, were conducting work at the facility when the accident occurred. One contractor was operating the skid steer while the other walked in front of the machine.
