David Camacho and Allan Lopez Injured in a Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Two Semi-trucks on Interstate 35 in North Texas

Valley View, TX – A multi-vehicle crash involving two semi-trucks resulted in one fatality and two injuries. The incident happened on northbound Interstate 35 on Friday morning.

According to reports,  a 2022 Freightliner failed to control its speed and collided with the rear of a 2000 Peterbilt 379 towing a dump trailer. The Freightliner driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The impact caused a chain reaction, forcing the Peterbilt, driven by 37-year-old David Camacho, into the back of a 2011 Toyota Camry, which struck a 2014 Freightliner Cascadia.

Camacho sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital. The Toyota driver, 50-year-old Allan Lopez from Houston, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Medical City Denton.

No further information has been released.

Those impacted by this crash deserve answers

When a multi-vehicle crash involving semi-trucks occurs, those affected are left with more questions than answers. The injured parties, David Camacho and Allan Lopez, now face a challenging road to recovery while trying to understand what led to this devastating accident. Authorities and professionals need to step in and provide clear answers about what really happened on Interstate 35 that morning.

Truck accidents like this are rarely simple. What appears to be a straightforward rear-end collision often has hidden causes. Factors such as driver fatigue, mechanical failures, or even issues with cargo loading can contribute to these crashes in ways that aren’t immediately apparent.

The trucking companies involved hold key pieces of this puzzle. They have access to crucial information like the drivers’ training records, hours of service logs, and data from the trucks themselves. This information can reveal speed, braking patterns, and steering input in the moments before impact. But trucking companies don’t always share this information willingly. They might try to minimize their liability or push for quick settlements.

That’s why tools like depositions and vehicle inspections, available during litigation, are so important. They help uncover the full story behind the crash. Getting to the truth isn’t about pointing fingers. It’s about finding answers, helping those affected get closure, and preventing similar accidents in the future.

We hope David Camacho, Allan Lopez, and everyone impacted by this crash get the support and clarity they need during this challenging time. They deserve to know exactly what happened and who’s responsible so they can focus on healing and moving forward.
