Jeffery Forsythe and One Other Person Injured in a Semi-truck Tire Blowout Accident on Highway 59 Near Nacogdoches, Texas

Nacogdoches, TX – Two people sustained injuries in a collision involving a semi-truck and pickup vehicle. The incident happened on U.S. Highway 59 on Sunday afternoon.

According to reports, a southbound Volvo truck-tractor semi-trailer experienced a front left tire blowout. This caused the semi to cross the median into the northbound lane, colliding with a 2010 Ford F-150.

The driver of the Ford, 70-year-old Jeffery Forsythe, and his passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Both were transported to the hospital for treatment.

No additional details have been released.

An inspection of the tire will determine what caused it to fail and if the manufacturer is responsible for the injuries suffered

A sudden truck tire blowout can have devastating consequences for others on the road, leaving little to no time for nearby drivers to react. These crashes often result in serious, life-changing injuries, and those affected are left wondering how this could have happened. Professionals can help answer questions the injured may continue to have after the initial report of the accident.

Tire failure accidents are complicated and often misunderstood. This is because tire blowouts aren’t always due to road conditions or poor maintenance. In some cases, the tires fail because they are defective. When this happens, responsibility can go beyond the trucking company.

We’ve seen instances where tires gave out long before their expected lifespan, putting everyone on the road at risk. Tire manufacturers are responsible for producing safe and reliable products, but this duty isn’t always upheld.

We’re currently involved in a similar case in Arizona. A truck’s front tire blew out, sending the vehicle across a 30-foot median and into two oncoming cars. Our investigation found that defects in the tire caused the blowout, which highlights the importance of looking beyond the obvious explanations and investigating the underlying causes.

To truly understand what happened, it’s essential to inspect the tire that failed thoroughly. This can reveal if there were manufacturing defects, structural issues, or problems with the materials used. A detailed analysis can uncover these factors and provide clarity.

It’s important for the injured to learn whether a defective tire contributed to their pain and suffering. While this information won’t erase what happened to them, it could lead to improvements in tire safety and hold the manufacturer accountable for any failures.

Uncovering these answers isn’t always straightforward. Tire manufacturers are often reluctant to admit when their products are faulty. However, with the right expertise and legal tools, it’s possible to get to the truth and ensure that any negligence is addressed.

We hope that those injured in this crash receive the support they need during this difficult time and that a thorough investigation provides the answers they deserve about the actual cause of this tragic blowout.
