Joel Torres Killed in an Accident with a Semi-truck Hauling Beets on US 14A in Cheyenne, Wyoming

Cheyenne, Wyo. – A man died after his vehicle struck a tractor-trailer hauling sugar beets. The incident happened on US 14A on Monday morning.

According to reports, 32-year-old Joel Torres was driving an Oldsmobile Alero when he collided with the second trailer of a Freightliner combination unit as the truck pulled out of a loading area and entered the inside lane of the five-lane highway. Torres’ vehicle struck the axle of the trailer.

Torres was pronounced dead at the scene.
