The plaintiff was driving a Freightliner southbound on SC-151 when the Maverick Transportation tractor-trailer, traveling eastbound on SC-903, allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign. The tractor-trailer then pulled out onto SC-151, striking the back passenger side of the plaintiff’s truck. This collision caused the plaintiff’s vehicle to veer off the road, strike a ditch, and overturn.

The lawsuit alleges that the Maverick Transportation driver was negligent in several ways, including failing to keep a proper lookout, violating traffic laws by not stopping at the stop sign, failing to yield the right-of-way, and entering the intersection when it was unsafe to do so.
