Sichuan Tyre is accused of producing a defective tire that contained design and manufacturing flaws. The lawsuit alleges that these defects caused the tire to fail catastrophically, leading to the loss of vehicle control and subsequent rollover.
Espino Tires, the retailer that sold and installed the tire, is also named in the lawsuit. The Ammons Law Firm claims that Espino Tires was negligent in selling and installing a tire that was allegedly unfit for use on the Ford Expedition. The lawsuit alleges that Espino Tires failed to properly inspect the tire and warn the customers about its potential dangers.
The legal action seeks compensation for the injured parties, including damages for medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, and loss of earning capacity. The lawsuit also includes claims for loss of parental consortium on behalf of the children whose father suffered catastrophic injuries.
