Chicco Recalls Over 30,000 Defective Child Car Seats Due to Injury Risk


Chicco has issued a recall for more than 30,000 child car seats due to a potential safety hazard that could increase the risk of injury during a crash, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The recall affects 30,984 Chicco MyFit Zip Air Harness and Booster child restraint systems units. The impacted models carry the numbers 07079561970070 and 04079561190070.

Federal safety officials report that, under certain conditions, the seats may not adequately limit chest movement in the event of a collision, potentially compromising the effectiveness of the restraint.
