CPSC Recalls Defective IxDregan Infant Swings Due to Risk of Suffocation


WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is alerting the public to stop using IxDregan Infant Swings immediately. The CPSC cites significant risks of suffocation, serious injury, and death.

The agency’s investigation found that the swings were marketed for infant sleep and have an incline angle exceeding 10 degrees, which violates the Safe Sleep for Babies Act. Products intended for infant sleep must meet strict federal safety standards, including maintaining a flat sleep surface of no more than 10 degrees of incline. An inclined sleep position can compromise an infant’s airway, creating a deadly suffocation hazard.

In addition to the incline violation, the IxDregan swings fail to comply with required federal warning label standards for infant swings, further increasing the danger to infants.

CPSC also identified additional safety violations related to the swings labeled “Model: WS-HB18-4.” The swings’ remote controls contain lithium coin batteries but lack the required warning labels mandated under Reese’s Law, which addresses hazards associated with button cell and coin batteries. If swallowed, these batteries can cause severe internal injuries, chemical burns, or death.
