Driver Killed, Passenger Injured in Semi-Truck Accident on Interstate 94 in Chicago, Illinois

CHICAGO, Ill. — A late-night crash involving a semi-truck and a stalled vehicle left one person dead and another injured Friday on the Dan Ryan Expressway. Illinois State Police reported the collision occurred on northbound I-94 near 59th Street.

According to initial findings, a Nissan sedan had become disabled in the second lane from the left when a semi-truck struck it from behind.

The driver of the Nissan was transported to a nearby hospital, where they were later pronounced dead. A passenger in the vehicle was also hospitalized with injuries, though their condition has not been disclosed.
