Ford Recalls Certain Explorer SUVs Again Due to Rollaway Risk


Ford has announced a new recall affecting 4,247 Explorer SUVs from model years 2020 to 2022, citing a potential rollaway risk. The recall follows concerns that a previous repair may not have been properly completed.

The issue stems from a flaw in the tool that dealerships use to install software updates. The tool may have indicated that updates were successfully installed when, in fact, they were not. As a result, numerous vehicles were returned to their owners without the necessary fix.

This recall marks the third time Ford has addressed the issue.
