One Person Killed in a Multi-Vehicle Accident Involving a Semi-Truck on U.S. Highway 2 Near Monroe, Washington


MONROE, Wash. – A deadly multi-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck temporarily closed a section of U.S. Highway 2 east of Monroe on Wednesday morning. Emergency crews responded to the scene near Fern Bluff Road.

Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue confirmed that one person was killed in the crash.

Several vehicles were involved, including a semi-truck, though authorities have not yet released details on the cause of the accident or the identity of the person who died.
