Legend Brands Recalls Defective Bliss Hair Dryers Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death Due to Electrocution and Shock


WASHINGTON – Legend Brands has issued a recall of Bliss handheld hair dryers sold exclusively at Burlington stores due to the risk of serious injury or death from electrocution or electric shock.

The affected products lack an immersion protection device, violating federal safety standards for hair dryers. If the dryers fall into water while plugged in, they can present a substantial hazard to consumers.

The recall affects Bliss foldable travel hair dryers sold in teal and pink, with silver accents. The units feature three speed settings, a temperature control switch, and “Bliss” printed in white on the side. They were sold at Burlington locations nationwide between January 2025 and March 2025 for approximately $20.
