IBC Technologies Recall Defective CX Series Combi Boilers Due to Burn Hazard Risks


IBC Technologies has announced a recall of certain CX Series Combi Boilers due to reports that the units can produce water temperatures exceeding the set limit, posing a risk of burns.

The recall applies to model CX-199 and CX-150 boilers manufactured between April 2023 and April 2025. The affected units include both natural gas and liquid propane versions, with specific serial number ranges. The model number is displayed on the front screen, and the serial number can be found on the rating plate located inside the unit.

The compact residential boilers are designed to provide both central heating and on-demand hot water.

IBC said it has received reports of fluctuating hot water temperatures during use.
