Fieldsheer Recalls Defective Heated Socks Due to Burn and Injury Risk


Fieldsheer Apparel Technologies has issued a recall for several models of its heated socks after receiving multiple reports of users experiencing burns and blisters.

The recalled products include Fieldsheer’s merino wool heated socks, models MWMS07, MWWS07, and MWMS05. The socks were sold in a range of color combinations—black/gray, gray/orange, gray/pink, and black/orange—and came in sizes small through extra-large. Each pair included two lithium-ion battery packs and a charging cable.

The socks are designed to provide adjustable heat, but when worn during high-intensity activities that involve friction, moisture, and pressure, they can cause pain, discomfort, and skin injuries.

Fieldsheer has received 11 reports of incidents, including four involving burns and blisters.
