Jaguar Land Rover Recalls More Than 121,500 Defective Range Rover and Range Rover Sport Vehicles Due to Risk of Crash


IRVINE, Calif. — Jaguar Land Rover is recalling more than 121,500 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles in the United States due to a front suspension knuckle defect that could result in loss of steering control, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The recall covers 2014–2017 model-year vehicles. Cracks may form in the aluminum front suspension knuckle where it connects to the upper control arm ball joint. If the part fails, the upper suspension arm could detach, increasing the risk of a crash.

Jaguar Land Rover has received 96 complaints related to Range Rover models and 14 involving Range Rover Sport vehicles. All vehicles within the recall population are believed to be affected.
