FAIRMONT, W.Va. – A 60-year-old man was injured Wednesday evening after being struck by a semi-truck in Fairmont, according to local authorities.

The man was transported by HealthNet to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Fairmont Police confirmed that the victim was using a mobility scooter at the time of the crash. The scooter was found lodged beneath the front end of the truck.
