Woman Injured in a Garbage Truck Accident on Water Cliff Drive in Somerset, Kentucky


SOMERSET, Ky. – A 54-year-old Somerset woman was injured Friday morning after being struck by a garbage truck while walking her dog.

The incident happened on Water Cliff Drive, near Slate Branch Road.

The woman was transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital and later airlifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington for further care.

No further information has been released.
